What are the steps involved in replacing and reactivating the camera for the task?

Whether you are dealing with OpenEye cameras, standalone IP cameras, or cameras added via Recorder, the following instructions will guide you through the process efficiently.

Identify Camera Type

Types of cameras that may undergo replacement.

  • OpenEye Cameras
  • Standalone IP Cameras
  • Cameras added via Recorder

For OpenEye Cameras

Update configuration (if possible)
  • If the configuration can be updated on the OWS portal while retaining the same camera ID, the camera will automatically start working once it's up on OWS.

If replacement involves new camera ID
  • Navigate to the WoCam module on the navigation panel
  • Proceed to Cameras section and then to Recorders to view all the added recorders
  • Select the recorder for which the cameras are to be added
  • Click on Refetch Cameras
  • A new window will display the grid view of connected cameras
  • Select the new cameras to be added and click Continue
  • Add the notification alerts (if required) and click Update & Save

**Note: **You will need to redo the task setting process, including ROI creation and defining parameters.

For Standalone IP Cameras

  • Navigate to the WoCam module on the navigation panel
  • Proceed to Cameras section
  • Locate the camera and go to its details page
  • Find the three dots at the top right corner, click Edit
  • Enter the new Camera name
  • Tap the closed eye icon to validate the Public RTSP URL and click Continue
  • Add the notification alerts (if required) and click Update & Save

👉 If unable to modify, onboard the camera as a new one.

**Note: **You will need to redo the task setting process, including ROI creation and defining parameters.

For Cameras Added via Recorder

If the new camera is added to the same channel as the same previous camera in the recorder
  • Simply refetching the frame on the camera details page should work

If the new camera is added to a different channel
  • Navigate to the WoCam module on the navigation panel
  • Proceed to Cameras section and then to Recorders to view all the added recorders
  • Select the one to which the camera is connected and click Refetch Cameras
  • Enter the recorder password and click Fetch Cameras
  • Select the new cameras to be added and click Continue & Update Recorder

**Note: **You will need to redo the task setting process, including ROI creation and defining parameters.
